and not stick to the conducted tours and standard stories! Well, let's
have something good to what your appetite for this first trip! Next

| You
would have heard how fantastic the shopping in Singapore would be!
Well you are not wrong! It is great, particulary if you are in the
middle of the Great
Singapore Sales - an annual affair around June - July.
BUT, if you did not
know about it and would be coming either before or after this even,
all is not lost! There are bargains to be had from a few places
- actually, Singaporeans are avid shoppers and there would be a
sale somewhere every other day! Only problem is knowing where to
go! We shall not pretend to know all abou the sales that are going
on buy we can point you to several places where bargains can be
found at any time of the year! |

searched for such places with two criteria in mind : accessibility
(read near to MRT station's location) and local patronage; so that
you can enjoy what the locals enjoy.

Shopping Centre (near to Summerset MRT)
- Robinsons
Shopping Centre (near to Summerset MRT)
- Far East Shopping Centre (near to Orchard MRT)
- Junction 8 Shopping Centre (near to Bishan MRT)
- Ngee Ann City (near to Orchard MRT)
- Tiong Bahru Plaza (near to Tiong Bahru MRT)
The only unfortunate thing is that most of these
shopping centres do not have a web site and hence we cannot provide
you with the landmarks. However, each of the link does have a site
map for easy navigation once you are out of the station. |
